Our Team
Alley Cat Rescue (ACR) maintains a small office in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. There are also team members staffed in the greater Los Angeles area.
Louise Holton, President and Founder: Louise began her career in cat protection in the mid 1970s where she helped the Johannesburg SPCA with a trap-neuter return program. She went on to co-found Alley Cat Allies in 1990 to bring national attention to the plight of unsterilized cat groups, and to promote humane cat management. Louise founded Alley Cat Rescue in 1997 to help all cats.
