Support the ACE Act to Help Better Protect Animals Against Cruelty
The Animal Cruelty Enforcement (ACE) Act is a bill to establish an Animal Cruelty Crimes Division within the Department of Justice to aid in the investigation, enforcement, and prosecution of felony animal cruelty.
The Division will have dedicated staff that will remedy DOJ processes that delay and even drop animal cruelty cases, ensuring that perpetrators are prosecuted for crimes ranging from dogfighting to horse soring, to pet neglect. This bill was introduced in February of 2021 and is in the first stage of the legislative process. Please urge your representative to vote for the ACE Act so that it can move on to the House and Senate to be voted into law. |
