Spay/Neuter Clinic

Alley Cat Rescue operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic. We advocate for cats nationally and also believe in making a big impact right in our own community.

More than 1.4 million cats enter U.S. shelters each year, but sadly, only 3 in 10 make it out alive. Unfortunately, many healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are euthanized simply because our shelter system lacks the resources to care for them. Since the majority of new kittens entering shelters are born to outdoor, free-roaming cats, providing access to affordable spay/neuter services for community cats is the best way to reduce reproduction and lower intake and euthanasia rates.

How much does it cost?
Cats can be signed up for a reduced rate of only $50 for a pet cat and $20 for a feral cat. A rabies vaccination is included with the spay/neuter procedure.

Alley Cat Rescue partners with an area veterinary clinic in order to provide these services at an affordable rate. The nominal charge that we collect for a cats spay/neuter procedure goes to directly cover medical expenses. FVRCP (distemper), Revolution topical parasite treatment, micro-chipping and other services are available at a nominal cost.
Services are by appointment only. Register here and sign up today to reserve your spot!

When is it?
We are typically able to schedule appointments within a week or 2 of your registering. Once registered we will contact you shortly to confirm your appointment date.

Where do I bring cats?
Cats are brought to the Alley Cat Rescue office, and our experienced staff takes it from there. We handle transport in the morning to the clinic as well as from the clinic back to our office. Cats must be dropped off at our office, 3906 Rhode Island Ave. Brentwood, MD 20722, and can typically be picked up later that same day.
